We had a full draft of the Social Encounters rules ready to go. Ken read it out loud to Deighton at our last meeting. Deighton — the guy who’s been running this system for twenty years — told us flatly he didn’t get it, wouldn’t use it as written, and that it broke the flow of actual roleplay.
That’s not a small note. Full story, including the draft itself and exactly what he said, over on Patreon.
Part 2 next week: figuring out why it wasn’t working.
